When you find yourself in Providence, Rhode Island make sure to stop at Madrid Bakery in Wayland Square. One of my favorite spots in town is Wayland because it’s always bustling with business. In this space, you can find everything from food, drinks, pastries, and local boutiques.
Madrid European Bakery & Pâtisserie recently opened in Providence, but the business itself had been up and running for over ten years in Massachusetts. This local pastry shop offers artisan pastries made fresh daily. Not to mention their wide variety of coffee drinks. My go order at Madrid is the chocolate croissant with a cappuccino. You can truly taste the freshness of their pastries and the hard work that has gone into making them!
At Madrid there is a pastry for everyone: those with a desire for nutty flavors, fruity flavors, chocolate and much more. Not only does the bakery have a European atmosphere with its open layout and outdoor seating, but along with tasting the delicious pastries, there’s a large window that allows you to see how they are being made. Authenticity flows from this European bakery in Providence, RI.
So if you’re looking for a calm place to do homework, read, catch up with a friend, or go on a date, Madrid is the perfect spot.
